Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal is a international humanitarian non-profit (501C3) organization. It’s purpose is to save lives and limbs while restoring people’s inherent right to live free from landmines and explosive hazards. 

Job details:

Tip of the Spear Landmine Removals is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a EOD Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for identify, locate and dispose of explosive hazards.

Responsibilities:

  • Clear and remove deadly hazards including landmines, booby traps, improvised explosive devices, and other explosive material that inflicts thousands of civilian casualties each year.
  • Work as part of a team to locate, identify and safely dispose of explosive hazards in a manner that minimizes risk to people and property.
  • Operate specialized equipment and tools to remove landmines and explosive materials from the ground.
  • Document all work activities and maintain accurate records of equipment use, disposal of explosive materials, and incident reports.

The ideal candidate for the (EOD) Specialist positions for TOTS must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) program, and must be able to provide DA Form 1059 as proof
  • IMAS level 1 or 2 certification (exception if you already have NAVSCOLEOD.
  • No current physical limitations that could impede job performance.
  • Normal depth perception with no record of claustrophobia.
  • Normal color vision.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and a financial records check.
  • All TOTS positions necessitate signing a morality agreement and standard conduct agreement.
  • Prior experience in landmine removal, bomb disposal, or other related fields is preferred.
  • Must possess physical stamina and be able to work in harsh and challenging environments.
  • Must be willing to travel and work in remote areas, often for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and follow safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
